Assistant Principal Tom Wetschka was selected as the Minnesota Twins Education Hero for the month of February.

Wetschka was nominated by Language Arts Teacher Rachel Harmon because of his endless commitment to gaining trust with students, faculty and parents.  Harmon noted his, “focus on equity, not equality, which is not always easy for students and staff to understand. However, Tom believes in giving every student, no matter their circumstances, a chance to find success.”

Acknowledgement from the Twins stated, “With all of the challenges that you have managed due to the pandemic, we are amazed at your commitment to safety while continuing to keep life as normal as possible for kids.  And we cannot wait to listen to you announce sporting events.  Thank you for your unbelievable commitment to our kids!”

In honor of this recognition, Wetschka will receive a customized Twins jersey and he will be invited to see a game with a guest when it is safe to do so at Target Field.
