Love is one of those unsolved mysteries of our lives. It’s tricky, messy, hard, but so good when you find the right person. With this question, I am assuming that you two are not dating, so that’s where I am going with this advice. 

Telling someone you like or even love them is always a scary task, but if you follow a few guidelines you can save yourself from becoming hurt or even embarrassed. One of the most important things is to make sure the other person likes you back. Being observant to things like how into the conversation the girl is, smiling/eye contact, or even the vibe you get from her can help you tell if the person is into you. 

I also think making sure that the relationship you have is solid before you share your news. You should make sure that you feel comfortable together and that if the confession were to go south, your friendship would still be intact. That is the base work for telling her. 

There really is a lot to be said for just being completely honest with her one day, but also that can be more emotionally taxing if she doesn’t feel the same way. Being bold can sometimes throw the person off, so I would personally recommend you take it slow. Slowly hint towards how you feel with things such as complimenting her or maybe offering to buy her a meal. This could help signal to her that you are interested in her and will help not catch her so off guard. 

If you two are dating, I think it’s a good idea to take it slow and maybe have a discussion about it. In my relationship, we decided to wait and just feel it out for a while. You never want to say anything you do not mean in the moment. 

Overall, if you are dating this girl or not, there is something so nice about being told that someone loves you. It reminds me of the episode of Friends where Rachel tells Ross she loves him and he says thank you. It really takes a strong person to be emotionally vulnerable and put yourself out there.
