Trojan baseball needs to win 2 against Mankato West to advance to state competition

The Trojan baseball team is working hard to qualify for the state baseball tournament.  They took their first step June first as the #4 seed when they beat Jordan, the #5 seed 3-0. In the second round they lost to Mankato West 10-8 in New Ulm on June 4. Later that day, they played in the elimination bracket where they beat Marshall 11-4.

Tuesday, June 7 they defeated the Albert Lea Tigers 6-2 and went on to defeat Mankato East Cougars 1-0.

The final round of sections will be Thursday, June 9 vs. Mankato West.  If they are able to beat Mankato West in 2 games, they head to state.  The team is led by Head Coach Tanner Oakes and Assistant Coach Don Plaisance.
