Winter sports are in the middle of the season including the boy’s swim and dive team. Going into their 3rd full year since the swim team was started, they already have made some large accomplishments. After sending two swimmers to the state finals last year, they have high expectations for this year’s team. 

The swim and dive team participated in the Hutchinson Invite in January, placing 6th out of 12 teams. In late January, they participated in True Team Sections and placed 6th out of 8 teams competing. Their dual meet record is 1-4 as of right now, with 3 meets in the following weeks. First, they are heading to Mankato West on January 31st, followed by 2 home meets on February 2nd and 9th against Bloomington Jefferson and Orono. 

After the regular season comes the Section Tournament and the State Tournament. The swim team already has 2 members going to state with qualifying times, but hope to send a few more swimmers as well. It’s already been a great season, and they continue to see major improvements from all members of the team.
