Volleyball wrap up 2019

The varsity volleyball team finished with a win in Delano, putting their record at  21-7 leading into the playoffs.

On Friday, October 25, they played in the quarter-final against the Waconia Wildcats. They won the match with scores of 25-20, 25-16, 25-14.  To top off the evening, junior Tori Moe got her 1,000th set assist.

Tuesday, October 29, they played the Minnetonka Skippers in Section 2AAA semifinals, losing the match, 14-25, 23-25, 21-24. With the match, they ended their season with a record of 22-8.

Season highlights included finishing second in the conference, taking the consolation championship at the Marshall tournament and second place in the Eastview tournament.  The team also received the Gold team academic award and the AVCA academic award.

Individual accomplishments included Sophia Andersen completing 1,000 digs in her career as well as Mckenna Vacek, Sophia Andersen and Torie Moe receiving All-Conference Honors. Dani Friedges, Kate Seymour and Amanda Giesen were named honorable mentions.
